A sad day...

Dear Friends based on the Dear Jane Quilt
(this quilt has nothing to do with this post)

Today I had planned to reveal my Mini of the Month for April, but it's been a rough week. A very sweet friend passed away Sunday night, and today we will celebrate her life. She was so healthy, so happy and brought such joy to the people around her. I had lunch with her three weeks ago and she was volunteering (yet again) to work on another charity project. She had so much energy and she was so willing to share it with others. I'm still confused how a strong healthy person can get pneumonia, become critical, and pass away in a matter of days. She had so much to offer and now we are the ones who will miss her smile and her giving spirit. Bless you Mary, I am thankful I was lucky enough to know you.

  1. As one of my friends said just yesterday, we have to live our lives as if today was the last day, to do the best we can for others and enjoy life to the fullest! I'm sorry for your loss. Hugs...

  8. I am sorry for your loss. Please consider a grief group. I lost my husband last week and we have people who have lost friends to family in our groups. It has helped me immensely and I think I'm finally starting to heal.
