My Favorite Things of 2018

As we begin thinking about our holiday shopping, let's not forget to do a little something special for ourselves (or forward this list to your Santa!) I am so happy to announce that my new book will be here in time for the holidays! If you purchase both books from my shop, I will include a free pattern called "Lucky Stars". I am also offering a special price of $40 for BOTH. Grab a set for yourself and for a friend!

If you already have my first book (thank you so much!) and just want to get a copy of my newest book, I will ship it out the day it arrives! I have my fingers crossed that these beauties will arrive on my doorstep very soon.  Buy this book in my shop and get a free copy of "Lucky Stars" as well.

This free pattern is available only to those purchasing the books. It's exclusive for now, so I hope you will enjoy finding it tucked into your new copy of Strip Quilt Secrets!

These zip pouches continue to be best sellers in my shop. I've been using mine since they first arrived and I love how soft yet strong they are. I carry then in my purse for all of my essentials. Because they are made from recycled fibers they are good for the earth as well as good for organizing!

This ruler is also available in my shop and will change the way you cut triangles forever! I used it for all of the quilts in my both of my books. I will never cut triangles from squares again. I've said goodbye to trimming forever, because these triangles are perfect every single time!

These thread snips sit on my sewing machine all the time. They are perfect for clipping threads between chain piecing as well as helping to guide points and tricky pieces.

I always use a dry iron. That's right, I never put water in my iron. I get much better results using this fantastic spray! It comes in several sizes and fragrances (as well as fragrance free). And here's a secret: you can water it down 50% with water and it still works just as well! So your amazing pressing product goes twice as far! This link is to the refill bottle, but it's also available with spray nozzle and in a gallon size refill.

I use light gray for all of my basic piecing. It's most likely the color in my machine at any given moment. I love that the spool lasts forever and that there is very little lint. I almost never have a thread break either! I'm sold on this stuff!

And if a little is good, a lot is better! Aren't these pretty colors? I just might have to add this one to my wish list for Santa. Click through all of the color options, you're bound to find one that calls your name!

I use these scissors all the time! I can't believe I ever used anything else. They feel good in my hand and they cut through fabric like a hot knife through butter. They come in different sizes, and I don't have them all but I wish I did! They clip to the very tip, even the sneakiest of threads can't escape!

And what holiday wish list is complete without a pair of cute shoes? This style is my favorite for standing and teaching all day. I love the cute designs available, but aren't these sprinkles fun? I think I might have to indulge in a pair of these! After all, I have been a very good girl this year.

While I can't compete with Amazon prices (I have discounted my books as much as I can) please consider buying items from my shop or through my links to help support this one woman's dream of helping to send her 3 kids to college. Your support means the world to my family.

Happy Holidays to each of you!
Diane
