Book Review

Friends of Fibert Art International

This will come as no surprise to anyone who has ever met me, because it is no secret, but I have a HUGE quilting crush on Karen Stone. Yep, I may have mentioned it a time or two. I was SO LUCKY to get to meet her, and yes I may have mentioned that as well. This time last year, I was taking a class from her at the AQS show in Knoxville (you know the one that they moved to Grand Rapids because THAT'S really convenient for those of us that live in the southeast USA...but I digress!)

Karen was lovely and charming and oozed talent and skill. She makes some pretty awesome quilts and rumor has it that she has a new book coming out soon. I will have to get it because without even looking at it I know I will love it!

But her first book is so amazing, I like to just sit and look at it because I see something new every time I pick it up. It's one of those books that has color combinations and blocks that get the mind wondering...how did she know that would be so awesome? I got to see most of the quilts in person at her trunk show and during the class. They are even better up close, seriously.

But don't take my word for it, click on her name and the link will take you to her website. And if you happen to buy her book while you're there...it's not my fault, I'm just the messenger, as they say.

Karen's 2 newest quilts
Go on, check it out...it's amazing!

    1. I was so star struck when I took her class! It's nice to be able to sit and look at the quilts in the book at leisure. And it's really nice to know that someone understands. :)
