Christmas in July!
I've added another pattern to the shop. This one is a Christmas quilt but I plan to make it in polka dots next. It's at great, fast pattern, that looks more complicated than it really is. I added the curved borders to make it a little more girly, but it would look great with just straight ones as well.
This quilt came about after I made matching quilts for the boys for Christmas one year. I actually made them because their room is used for company for the holidays and it seemed like a nice touch to have special quilts for the occasion. I finished them at the end of November and presented them to the boys. There was much excitement and chatter among the kids. (They love decorating for the holidays!)
My daughter Kelly excitedly asked...what's MY Christmas quilt going to look like mom?!? To which I quickly replied...It's going to be invisible this year, but you will definitely be able to see it next year! She was happy with that answer, and luckily she is also a patient child. But I did finish this in time for the next Christmas and even made matching pillowcases. So it all worked out in the end. Whew.
Enjoy every stitch!
