So Many Quilt shops...

and I want to tell you all about them! I've been lucky enough to visit some great shops in NC this week while staying with my mom and today I took a little field trip with some friends to two more shops south of Atlanta. SO much fun, fabric, laughing, chatting, planning, block swapping, eating, and purchasing!!!

Each shop truly is special and unique in their own way and deserve a blog post with photos all their own. So I'll just share them in the order I visited them...

First there was the FOAM & FABRIC OUTLET in Fletcher NC. Don't let the name fool you...they had lots of  "outlet" items and prices but they also had lots of lovely new and exciting fabric lines as well. But best of all...they had a wall of KONA solids in every shade! I just needed to stand near them to experience them for a few minutes. It was that special. In the end I bought some in LIME and plan to use it in a string quilt for the middle of each block to separate the lights and darks, and for the binding.

Luckily they had a nice comfy bench by the window where mom sat and looked at the paper. This store is definitely going to see me again!
