Bear Paw Blocks

Sorry for the lousy picture. It's dark and rainy here today so I can't do much better. Besides, I'm too busy getting ready for the quilt show. Did I mention that yet? hahaha

These blocks are for an exchange one of my guilds is doing this year. There are two color ways to choose from: traditional darks with tan background, or batiks with white background. Obviously I chose the batiks. I happened to have a few batiks left over from another project and went a little crazy making these blocks. But they are fun and satisfying to make. I can't wait to see what they get traded for!

And here's a link to the quilt show this weekend in case you forgot...

Please come see me, and the quilts!

    1. Oh wouldn't that be fun! But I think you are right...it's MORE than a BIT too far! I'll try to take photos to share if I can. Right now my basement looks like a quilt shop exploded in it...oh my. Hopefully, much of the stuff will be gone by next week. Hopefully.

  2. Oh, those bear paws are just beautiful. Do you really have to part with them? I think they have a "lotus flower" look about them, probably because of the batik fabrics.
Best wishes for the show....I'll be watching this space for news of how it all went!

  3. Not to worry! I made a set to keep and a set to trade! That was part of the directions. I like them too! Only two days until the "show" ack, I'm starting to get a wee bit nervous about pulling it all off!
