Comfort and Joy, Joy, Joy!

It's that time again! Oh how I love this quilt!!! I am having such a great time putting these blocks together and getting a few extras done along the way. I am still deciding on my border options, but I want to get those started soon so I can be sure to have this fun quilt on the bed for the holidays! I think my mom will enjoy sleeping under it, and if not, she's sweet enough that she will say she loves it no matter how she feels about it. Isn't that one of the good things about moms?

Once again, I machine appliqued the pieces with invisible thread. I substituted tiny rick rack for the trim (so much easier!) and simplified the parts a bit. I might add tiny buttons for the eyes after the machine quilting is finished.

The patchwork that went with this block was pretty simple. It went together quickly. I am pleased with the result and am really enjoying watching this project grow. Now hop on over to Anne's and see the full list of others participating. There are some super cute quilts in the works. I can't wait to see what the others are doing...

  1. I really like your red plaid basket. I just got my section posted. I was not paying attention to the date but at least I had it ready. Not much more to go.

    1. Thanks so much! I preposted this as I'm out of town. After looking at the others I just realized I didn't share the whole block... Even though I made it! Good grief! So I'll have to add the rest later. I'm enjoying it so much, even if I do seem confused! :)
