Warm and Cozy

Feeling so very thankful to be warm and cozy in my home this morning. I know so many folks have no power and so many have it so much worse than that! My heart breaks looking at the photos of the devastation caused by Superstorm Sally. It seems a bit trivial to talk about quilting when so much more important issues are being face by so many.

But for those of us that use quilting as a comfort maybe this is the perfect time to sit and stitch and count our blessing until the moment we can actually do something to help...

This week I've been busy do several quilty things:

I've made 8 more holiday placemats for the local Meals on Wheels...

I've finished the last block and added the first border to Comfort and Joy...

I've layered, basted and started machine quilting the Pilot's Wife quilt...

Keeping my hands busy helps to ease my mind, but my heart is still heavy.
I hope you and your loved ones are all warm and safe and finding comfort!
