10 Minute Tip

Okay, a few of you may still be recovering from last week's tip (the one about making the list of ufo's, etc.) Sorry about that! I had a friend tell me she made the list and it was a page and half on a legal pad! Oh my. Please know that these are meant to be helpful, if you think it's not going to be helpful, time saving, or fun...don't do it! Just scroll to the next blog and I will never know. :)

This week's tip is EASY! It's something I started doing a long time ago and have been glad too many times to count...

PACK or RESTOCK A TRAVEL KIT

I keep one ready to go at all times. I spend so much time sitting in carpool lines, waiting for kids at the barn, or just needing a quick project to go. So I have a project (sometimes more than one) that I keep in a little case ready to travel.

Sometimes it just needs restocking: thread, needle, pins, fabric, or templates. I always make sure I have a pair for scissors, seam ripper, and thimble in there too. These are not items I normally take out and use at home, they are just for the travel kit.

It's always a good idea to check it, organize it, and restock it when I have a few minutes. That way, when I do find I'm dashing out the door, I know it's ready to go and I can just grab it. While snapping these photos, I realized I need to order more hexie templates. See, I told you this was a good idea!

Enjoy every stitch,
Diane
