10 Minute Tip
Hello friends! Here's another quick tip to make the most of your quilting time. If you don't have time to sit and sew (gasp) or really focus on a project (sigh) it doesn't mean you can't get SOMETHING done. My suggestion for today would be to:
Sort just one bin/drawer/basket/box
That's right. Just pick one container of fabric, and sort it! By that I mean, pull everything out of the container, press anything that needs pressing. Refold all the fabrics to the same size and line them up so you can see each of them at a glance. This will depend on the size and shape of your container, but I use wire bins to store my fabrics. I store some by theme (I have one for dots, 30's, batiks) but most by color. Remove anything that doesn't belong and put it where it should be.
Okay, now step back and admire your work! Next time you have just a few minutes, you can tackle another one. Organizing one bin at a time is much less overwhelming than taking on a whole closet or room. And you get the satisfaction of being finished each time! Just try it, trust me, you'll be glad you did!
And while you are doing that, I will be doing this...
She's a hungry girl, and I am a sucker for a sweet face.
Enjoy Every Stitch!

Beat you to it; just re-packed my storageboxes last weekend. Been sewing sleeves on older quilts today for a exhibition soon. There will be 14 of my quilts hanging there! So proud they asked me....
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet face on that pretty girl. I would never get tired of that face, would you? I have all older boys and I can still look at them forever.
Way to go! Is there a link to the exhibition? I would love to view it!!
DeleteKitties do have a way of making us fall in love don't they?

ReplyDeleteThanks, we're all in love too! She's snoozing in my lap right now.
