I'm Out of Here!
I'm going on a quilt retreat this weekend. I couldn't be more excited. We are going to stop at a couple of quilt shops on the way, then spend the weekend sewing our brains out. I am sure there will be some stories and laughs along the way. As you can see, I'm bringing some good reading and a treat as well. I have been going on this annual retreat every year since 1996! Except the year I had newborn twins, but that was a pretty good excuse.
I have packed way too many projects as usual but I don't want to run out of things to do...as if. I am going to try and get Comfort and Joy bound and pick out a bit of the quilting that had tension problems. I also plan to make the hourglass blocks for the red and white quilt. I have packed some fabrics to make more Memory Lane blocks, and I am bringing the Nearly Insane book to make a block or two. I am also bringing hexies, in case the power goes out, I will have some hand work. We are expecting an ice/snow storm tomorrow. I can only hope that it is the non-event that the last one was.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get to do a little quilting wherever you spend it!
Enjoy every stitch!

Going on a quilting retreat sounds like a lot of fun. I have not done that in years. A few times when my husband was out of town, I had two friends over for a weekend of quilting and that was fun. Now my husband has no reason to be gone so no more of those weekends. And the one friend moved away.
