Many Mini Trips
I taught a workshop for my guild last January called Many Mini Trips. It's a great stash buster. You can cut up fat quarters into two inch strips or just dig in your bin of scraps.
We had a really fun day together working on our blocks and making strips sets. I've seen several finished tops since that workshop and I'm always so pleased when I see how happy the quilter is with it!
This weekend on the retreat, one of my favorite quilters of all time, Pam, had her blocks with her. We had so much fun playing with them on the wall. She then got very busy and pieced the entire top! Look how happy she is!!! And she should be, I'm so proud of her!
Recently, I've noticed a huge variety of photos featuring Bonnie Hunter's Scrappy trips pattern (and variations on the theme.) This one is the same idea, only it uses 8 strips per block instead of 6. It also uses 2" strips instead of 2.5" strips. But truly, it's such a fun concept, that you could make it work with almost any number of strips, and any size.
If you've been working on one, I would love to see it! Leave a link in the comments.
Enjoy every stitch!
Diane
