It's that time of year again to get the applications ready for my guild's annual quilt show. This year I will have 8 entries. I usually have at least 6 or 7, but they are not all large quilts. One small quilt will be in the "challenge" category so it needs to remain a secret until the show. I haven't actually started sewing it yet, so it's still a secret to me! haha
This is going to be the largest quilt I enter. It's my Pilot's Wife quilt that started out as a "Farmer's Wife" quilt but you can read that long sad story HERE. I am about half way finished machine quilting it, so I should easily be able to finish it by the March deadline.
This is the only other bed size quilt I am entering. It is the One Way Ticket quilt sample. The pattern is available HERE.
This is a fun Block of the Month quilt that I made with my other guild in 2011 but didn't finish in time for last year's show. I wrote out the directions step by step and handed them out one each month. There have been so many great quilts finished from this BOM. What a fun experience!
This is the little Round Robin quilt that my guild participated in last year. I made the center star, my friend Kathy added the first border, Patsy added the second border and Ruth added the third. Didn't they do a good job? I machine quilted it and am very happy with the result.
This is SALSA which appeared in the Kansas City Star book, My Stars VIII which was recently released. The book is available HERE.
This is a little flag quilt from my Tiny Tumblers Trio that is available with a template HERE.
This is called Bitty Box and was made during a workshop taught by my friend Patsy. Isn't it fun?
Okay, seriously! I think this blog post just turned into an informercial!! Ack. But you get the idea and that's my little sneak peek at the Bulloch Hall Quilt show. You can find more information about the show HERE.
Now go rest your "clicking" finger from all those links, and then go sew something!
Enjoy every stitch!
Diane
Your block of the month quilt is so bright and cheerful--LOVE the applique! Too funny that your challenge quilt is still a secret to you too! That sounds like the way I work most often.:)
ReplyDeleteI hope the secret is revealed soon, the deadline is looming! I'm on the committee so I feel like I have to participate. I think it will be fun once I actually come up with something.
