Monday, Monday

(An antique quilt shared by my friend Jackie.)

How crazy was last week? It was even more nuts than usual around here. But that's not to say we didn't have our share of fun too! Crazy can equal fun if you just keep your sense of humor about things.

This weekend, I worked on my challenge quilt for the guild. It has to be kept secret until after the voting, so I can't show a photo yet...bummer. But it has polka dots, and ric rac, and wool, and buttons. And it might be slightly BRIGHT, as in almost neon. But it's really fun, and I will share it as soon as I'm allowed to! I promise.

Now I'm thinking of ways to recreate the quilt in the photo, and a couple of other antique quilts I've seen on my travels. I love old quilts so much, I just wish they could tell us their stories!

Wishing you a wonderful (and not so crazy) week ahead!

Enjoy every stitch!
Diane

  2. Wow, that's a stunner, isn't it? Some freezer paper templates, some paper piecing, and away you go!

A little beyond my skill at the moment, but something to remember down the road!
