Twisted again!

We had a fun workshop today with some of the local guild. My friend Martha and I demonstrated how to use the twister template to create these fun spinning pinwheels. It is so enjoyable to watch the quilters' faces when they realize how it's done! I just love those "light bulb moments". Everyone had their own template size of choice, and their own project of choice to work on. The same technique is used for every size. I can't wait to see the show and tell at the next meeting. There are going to be some really fun twister quilts!

I just used scraps from recent projects. Mine is only about 18" square so I am going to make it into a pillow. I think it will look cute on my sofa. I'm sure the dogs will enjoy it. They like to have a soft pillow when they nap on the sofa.

And we used this template,

That comes with these instructions.

This is my fourth twister project and I doubt it will be my last!

Enjoy every stitch!

  2. I made a miniature version of this quilt for my mom's birthday last week - it measured about 9" when it was done - such a fun pattern! I love your colors!
