Progress...

or completely out of control???

It all started with Anita over at Bloomin' Workshop. She has been blogging for quite a while now and done some AMAZING quilt alongs. So when she recently said that she would be doing a RANDOM SAMPLER quilt along in the spirit of Gwen Marston and her book LIBERATED MEDALLIONS (If you don't own this book, just buy it now, trust me, you will LOVE it!) I knew I had to jump in!

I was so excited to get started. I made the lovely tree block just like Anita showed us how. I even added a little bird to my tree.

Then we made a couple more fun blocks.

Then I went rogue and started making more.

And then I couldn't stop.

Now I have a quilt top that is almost 80" square.

I think it needs one more border of black and white half square triangles.
What do you think? Yes or no?

(this quilt was smooth and flat until my kitty raced across it!)

I'm so happy with this one, I want to make another medallion quilt, right now. But I have a few other things to do today, so maybe I'll start on it tomorrow, or tonight, or just later today when I get home.

Enjoy every stitch!
Diane
