This week's tip is one I often use. It is so simple, yet so handy. Simply snip small pieces of fabric for a project you are working on, or plan to work on, and clip them together with a safety pin. Put this swatch sample in your purse or tote. If you just happen to find yourself in a quilt shop, you can use the swatches to match or prevent duplication of fabrics. It's also helpful for matching thread, or choosing border options. I often have two or three of these lurking in the bottom of my purse at any given time. I can't count how many times I have been so glad I had them available though!
Enjoy every stitch!

What a great tip! I need to do this! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea, I normally stuff a small pile of fabric into my pants pocket when I know I am going to quilt store. This seems much neater and organized.
