What I have I done this week with some of those scraps? Besides provide a napping place for the princess...
I made this panel instead of making the clamshell panel.
I did this for several reasons: it was easier to strip cut tiny tumblers (using a template that I may have a 100 or so of) than hand cut the curved pieces, it was easier to machine piece these than hand sew the clamshells, and I happen to love tiny tumblers (hmm, wonder why!?!)
It's so fun to see the scraps from different projects playing so nicely together. Now I'm off to check out the other scrap basket projects, hope you are too!
Enjoy every stitch!
Diane
That looks great! Can totally see why you made the tumblers. Very sweet.
ReplyDeleteI love tumblers - I have made one and already feel the urge to make another with my scraps.
ReplyDeleteYour tumblers are so pretty! And, the Princess looks so relaxed and pampered. Happy Scrappy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteReally really pretty, I love this!
ReplyDeleteI like quilts that combine piecing and applique and will be following your progress. You are off to a great start with a very pretty combination of colors.
ReplyDeleteI love your tumbler panel! It looks like you have a lot of 30s fabrics and colors there along with a few more modern fabrics that get along very well with the 30s. This will be a fun project to watch develop.
