Twisted Again!

I finished  the quilting and binding on a full size top that has been waiting a while (okay a year!) and I'm quite pleased with it!

I'm calling it Sea Turtle Twist because most of the fabric were purchased in Hawaii almost six years ago. I bought a kit because I loved the fabrics, but knew I would make a different quilt from the pattern that was included. Last year I taught (with my friend Martha) a class on how to use the twister ruler. It comes in many different sizes and I chose the large one, knowing this quilt would be almost queen size.

I love that there are sea turtles in several of the fabrics, so I decided to quilt it in a watery ripples kind of design. It is almost like a large stipple, only I tried to make it look like currents and ripples in the water. I think it turned out well.

I have no doubt my girl with claim this one for her room! I am happy to give it to her if it means I can get the A3D9P back from her. Wish me luck!

Enjoy every stitch!

  2. Beautiful!!!!
I got my twister quilted last week and the binding on it last night and it has been done about 6 mo. I do however have quilts to be quilted that have been in the closet 5 years so I understand:)
When I was in Hawaii for my 25th I bought a pillow kit and I did finish it by my 30th:)
