10 Minute Tip

Take a minute and phone a friend! Set up a quilting date with a friend to just sit and stitch, or to go to a quilt shop and out to lunch, or to visit a quilt show. I know we all get so busy doing the things that we have "scheduled" that we sometimes forget to schedule our friends into our busy days. My quilting friends are such a great source of laughter, encouragement and inspiration! I do hope I provide those things for them as well. Remember, the house will never be clean enough, the laundry will never be totally caught up, and the projects you've been meaning to do can wait. Nurturing a friendship will always be more rewarding than clean baseboards!

Last week a sweet friend and I sat at the bookstore looking at quilt magazines and having a cup of coffee, (thanks Martha!) and the laundry waited for me. See, it's a win-win!

Now go find your phone...

  1. Well, would love to come over and have a stitching day with you.... or visit a quiltshow.... or just have a cup of coffee together.
Too bad it's such a long drive....
Having no (quilting)friends is something I really miss. Would really enjoy having someone to 'talk quilting' with.
