It's a Small World...Really

Here's the story (the short version):

I started blogging about my family years ago, and then I decided to start a quilt blog (and pattern business) a last year. As part of my "research" I started looking at more quilt blogs, and soon found out about the Blogger's Quilt Fest. Through that fun adventure, I met Audrey over at Quilty Folk. She's a hoot. She's also a super talented quilter who oozes style and skill. So I follow her blog now, and she had a give away that I did NOT win, but that's okay. She posted a link to the winner, Nancy, and her blog. I had never seen Nancy's blog (I thought I had seen them all...but no!) So I started scrolling through Nancy's blog because she has some super cute and way cool stuff. Love her style. So imagine my surprise when I got to THIS POST that featured one of MY patterns that she had purchased locally. Yep, we are almost neighbors, AND she bought my pattern, and actually finished the quilt. Didn't she do a good job?!

So after I scraped my jaw up off the floor, I ran and told my husband, then my three kids, and I may have called a friend or two. Seriously...this is the coolest thing (okay, one of the coolest) that has happened to me in this little pattern-business-blog-quilting adventure so far!

What a small world...I found a fellow quilter in my neck of the woods...through an online friend in Oregon! Honestly, it makes me grin just thinking about it!

Enjoy every stitch!

  1. That is pretty cool, I agree. It should start happening more and more until you almost get bored with it.*wink
