Scrap Basket Sunday!

It's been a couple of weeks since I played along with Kim over HERE. My excuses are fairly lame so I won't bother to share them. Let's just call it "life". But I do love seeing what others are pulling out of their scrap baskets and the beautiful results. Kim is making some blocks that I really want to make. Her scraps are amazing. Good thing we aren't neighbors, or I might have to sneak over and "borrow" some! haha

I've made some rows of tiny tumblers as you can see above. I think they are going to end up being a tote bag, but that could change. Any suggestions?

I've also made a few more blocks for my Green Tea and Sweet Beans quilt. This is really fun to play with and I am finding the scraps from different project interact in a way that I don't usually choose, but I like this combination. I am going to have to really work on this one soon as it's been hogging the design wall for long enough!

Now that the kids are out of school and summer is in full swing, I have no idea how much stitching I will get done, but I'm going to give it my best effort! Thanks again Kim for such a fun idea. Now go see what the others have pulled out of their scrap baskets this week...that's what I'm going to do!

Enjoy every stitch!
Diane

  2. Great blocks! I swear one of these days I'm going to make a tumber quilt and an orange peel quilt.

  3. Neat to see what you are doing with your scraps - I also enjoy playing and seeing the new possibilities with different combinations. Hope you get to do a little sewing over the summer :-)

  4. Your scraps look like they're playing well together--love the tumblers. I hope you can play with us this week too!
