10 Minute Tip
This week's tip...CUT SOME STRIPS from scraps or fat quarters. I usually do this when I am cutting fabrics for another project. If I have less than half a fat quarter left, I cut the remaining fabric into strips. I cut either 2" or 1.5" because I use those most often. This allows me to have strips ready to sew for blocks or projects and it keeps my fabric bins from getting littered by tiny bits of this and that. If you prefer using other size strips, then adjust accordingly. That's the tip for today, so start stripping! :)

I used to do something similar to this! Now I'm having fun with my bits and pieces for awhile. Strips are extremely easy to use though!
ReplyDeleteI cut my scraps into 1.5", 2.5" and 5" squares but from now on I'm going to start cutting strips as well. Thanks.
