10 Minute Tip

This week's tip may seem silly if you don't have a house full of kids like I do. But finding a sharpened pencil around this house can be challenging at times. So when I say Sharpen Some Pencils  (you may want to hide them as well!) Nothing slows down the production process like not having the tools you need. So check your supply basket or drawer, and make sure you have some sharpened pencils ready to go. Then you'll be prepared when you need one!

  1. While I don't have kids around anymore, my quilt room and the pencil sharpener are a couple flights of stairs apart, so I think this is a great tip. I know that when I need to sharpen, I don't just take one pencil, I grab all that I can find. I really dislike using dull pencils, so having a whole selection of sharp ones makes me feel "rich." Thanks for the tip. I think I need to do a batch today.

  2. What a sharp tip! I have done as you suggested and have just sharpened 9 pencils. My husband brought home an electric pencil sharpener from Lidl's a while back - it makes light work of the job. Keep the tips coming.

  3. Eventhough I have no kids around, I do have cats. Cats who love pens and pencils....
I have a big mug on my sewingtable filled with pens, sharpies, pencils, scissors, rippers and so on. Then everything is save, but when I leaf any on the table, they're gone...
    Couldn't care less though ;-)
