10 Minute Tip

This week's tip is especially relevant during the craziness of summer. While relaxing and resting are supposed to be two of the "missions" of summer, lack of schedule can actually sabotage our sewing time. So my tip today is...

SCHEDULE QUILTING TIME

for yourself. A personal sewing date. I schedule my treadmill time, my meal prep time, my errand running time, why not quilt time? Seriously, write it on the calendar if needed, but schedule a time for quilting. No excuses like, my sewing space is a wreck, my motivation is gone, my creativity is on vacation...even if it's just an hour, spend time cleaning, organizing, flipping through quilt books, or fondling fabric. You just might be amazed at what will happen, great ideas can strike at any moment!

And I don't know about you, but I'm a better mother/wife/friend/chef/taxi driver when I've had some quilt time. Now go find your calendar!

Enjoy every stitch!
Diane
