I ordered this book last month. It's called Promenade in a Dutch Garden and its published by Quiltmania. I have had it for a couple of weeks now and I must say...it's stunning. The quilts are beautiful, the photography is gorgeous, and the stories and information that is shared about the quilts and locations are so interesting.
It is written in Dutch and English. So don't panic when you first look at it. The English text is to the right side of the page or below the Dutch.
Years ago, I was lucky enough to visit the Holland while the tulips were in bloom. I've been back a couple of times, and it is a very special place indeed.
Looking at the photos and reading this book brings me back just a bit, to those beautiful days spent in that amazing place. Oh, and I should probably mention, that the quilts will knock your socks off! I really enjoy reading about quilting traditions and styles of other people and cultures. I might have mentioned (once or twice) how much I love history. This book is a great combination.
I would highly recommend this book if you like gorgeous quilt books. It's a big, thick one, so don't think you will devour it in one sitting. Keep it handy, you'll want to visit with it again and again.
Enjoy every page!
