Laundry Basket Quilts

It was better than I could even imagine...and I imagined it would be amazing! Edyta Sitar from Laundry Basket Quilts came to the ECQG and I made extensive plans for the kids to be sure I didn't miss it!

She shared so many of her beautiful quilts and told the amazing stories behind them. I just loved every quilt and every story. She has three teenagers like me, so I could really appreciate some of her comments!

She obviously loves her family and was lucky enough to marry into a family of quilters. Those hours at the quilt frame with her husband's mother and grandmother were the beginning of her journey as a quilter, though her mother passed on a love of fabric from early childhood.

She was so charming and sweet, and has the cutest accent. Her heart is in every stitch, and it shows.

I did buy a couple of treats for myself, there was no way I could resist! If you ever get a chance to see her in person, I can't recommend it highly enough! If only I could have taken her workshop...maybe next time.

Enjoy every stitch!
Diane
