10 Minute Tip

This week's tip is one that you probably already do on a daily basis, READ A FEW BLOGS. Okay, are you done laughing? I want you to read a few blogs with something particular in mind. Ask yourself, why do I read this blog, what is it that intrigues, or inspires me? I want to challenge you to choose just one project or idea this week, from your blog reading, and make it your own. You can add a twist to a current project you are working on, or you can adapt a project you see of someone else's, or you can just copy cat it exactly if you find something that really calls your name. Isn't immitation the highest form of flattery? (But don't forget to give credit where credit is due!)

So instead of just flipping through the endless quilting internet, go look find one thing in particular that inspires you, and just make it! If you need some suggestions, I have a list of my favorite blogs to the right. If you have a favorite blog that is not on my list, I would be most grateful if you would share it with me in the comments below. :)

Enjoy every stitch!
Diane

  1. It is interesting how reading the quilt blogs on a regular basis can get us thinking about different color combinations and/or patterns etc. I know I never really looked at the tumbler pattern much until I saw it on your blog!
