Fall Mug Rug Swap 2013
So I think I mentioned that I joined the fall mug rug swap over HERE and I've been busy emailing with my swap partner, who also happens to be named Diane, and she sounds fun! We have exchanged quilting ideas, color choices, and style preferences. So I really hope she likes these mug rugs, because I am putting them in the mail to her this morning. The petals on the sunflower are 3D and I thought the newspaper print fabric was perfect for enjoying her morning coffee! The second mug rug is more functional as it does not have any 3D or embellishments, the leaves are fused with satin stitch edging. I included a couple of goodies that I hope she likes too. I'm not telling what they are because I want her to be surprised. This mug rug swap has been fun, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what she sends me. I will definitely do this again.
Have you been part of an online swap, and if so, I would love any tips or suggestions you might have. Thanks for sharing them in the comments.
Enjoy your weekend!
Diane

Diane these are gorgeous. I just know she will love them.
ReplyDeleteI did several postcard swaps and once I swapped with another JoAnne. She spelled her name Joann, though, so I made a postcard featuring all the ways it is possible to spell our name and included a quote from Mark Twain: "I don't give a "dang" for a man that can only spell a word one way." (he didn't use dang--but I don't want to write what he did say) For some reason, people have trouble spelling and/or pronouncing our name and we both know that, so it was fun. She really liked the card, too.
ReplyDeleteShe'll love them! they turned out great. The sunflower is so fun with that B&W background.
ReplyDeleteI did a 9patch swap years ago and it was really fun!
I agree with all of the above. I like them. Now to crack the whip and get my done. I just hope that Diane likes her's.
