Going Crazy

That's right, I've been working on my Nearly Insane blocks again. I'm honestly not sure why. I am the most stubborn person I know, so there's that. While they aren't awful, they aren't super fun either. I do love the fabrics but I have simplified two of these blocks. The green border on the middle one was supposed to be half inch flying geese. (like that's going to happen, HA!) And the half inch checker board was supposed to be half square triangles...e v e r y s i n g l e o n e o f t h e m. It's okay to laugh, I did. Some would consider these changes "cheating" but I prefer to think of them as creative choices.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Enjoy every stitch!

  1. I think your NI blocks are nice, and it isn't cheating to simplify a bit! Do you "know" Frances at fabasherty.blogspot.com? She is working away on her NI quilt. She is using all red and white fabrics and is English paper piecing the whole thing. It is gorgeous!

  2. I am really enjoying your blocks. Love the colors you're using and even the changes you're making! I've had that book for years and every now and then I think I may have to jump on the bandwagon too. Just having fun watching you and others for now.:)
