One of those days...

(Look what my sweet friend Martha brought me from her visit to a quilt shop earlier this week!)

I was going to blog my cookie recipe and a photo of the cookies, but I burned them and then had to make a new batch, by which time it was late and I was cranky.

I was going to do a step by step photo tutorial about how to draw your own templates for fan blocks. But I decided to take down the kitchen valences and wash them instead because they were so dusty (I don't think I had washed them since I hung them 7 or 8 years ago) Ack, did I just admit that? Then of course they had to be pressed and re-hung. They do look very nice now, even if my kids said they couldn't tell any difference. Sigh.

I was going to show you the quilt top I got finished but I decided to start pin basting it and my kitty assistant kept stealing my safety pins. She must have quite the collection somewhere in this house. So here's a sneak peak...

Today will be a better day for sure! I am going to my bee group to sit and stitch and visit and laugh and eat. I don't know what I would do without my bee friends! They are the best.

Have a wonderful weekend, and with any luck, next week I will get around to posting some of the things I mentioned. :)

Enjoy every stitch!

  1. Love the little peek at your quilt! Great colors. You're making me feel guilty about my kitchen valences now.:)

  2. Oooooohhhhh, I like that little peek. Can't wait to see more!

I love to hear what you have to say, sadly, the spam has gotten ridiculous, so I will be approving comments from now on. I apologize for any inconvenience and I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
