January- I got a new laptop with windows 8 and began that crazy self education. I went on a fun quilting retreat with friends and spotted some of my very own patterns in local quilt shops. Went on a short trip to Belgium with my dear hubby and finished my Comfort and Joy quilt.
February- I discovered that the treadle I've had sitting in my living room for twenty years actually works! Finished three quilts and a patchwork pillow.
March- I moved into my new quilt room and was featured in my first QUILT magazine. I had several quilts hanging in the local show, was featured at two of the local shops during the Greater Atlanta shop hop, and completed a quilt of valor.
April- I made a new cover for my ironing board, finished a batik quilt for Kelly's bed and started on the Nearly Insane journey. I also began playing with the Sweet Beans and Green Tea pattern.
May- I participated in a local studio tour, joined the Blogger's Quilt Festival, and made a donation quilt for a local charity.
June- I went to the East Cobb Quilt show and had two projects appear in Primitive Quilts and Patchwork magazine.
July- My first American Patchwork and Quilting calendar made it's debut with my selvage quilt, and I was featured in Fave Quilts E-Magazine. I also made a mini quilt or two.
August- I cleaned out some space by selling a few quilts on etsy (plan to do that again soon!) and I shared my 4 patch poison quilt and tutorial.
September- I had a great time at the GA Quilt Show and debuted my brand new 5"tumbler templates.
October- I joined a super fun mug rug swap on line, played along with the bloggers quilt festival again and started the mystery quilt for my local guild and online. I also made a few candy corn pin cushions and a little tumbler jack o lantern.
November- I went to two quilt shows in north Georgia when I wasn't sewing away on my holiday projects.
December- I finished my Christmas gift quilts, released my newest pattern and got some super exciting news regarding my quilt designs.
Whew...I warned you, it was a lot! And I hope to have just as much quilting fun in 2014! I will be back soon with another post on what to look forward to in the new year, but first I need a nap!
Diane
