Friends are the best!

I try to live everyday with a grateful heart. I know I am so fortunate to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. I truly have been given more than I can ever earn or deserve.

Last week was hard, I had to say goodbye to a beautiful and creative friend. She had health problems for all the years I knew her and yet she never complained, never got grumpy or down in the dumps. She spread her enthusiasm and generous spirit freely to everyone she came in contact with. She was always ready to lend a hand or share an idea.

Even at the very end of her life, she was making me giggle and smile. Kathy O'Meara Magnuson passed away in her sleep one night (just hours after sending me a funny message.) She suffered from lots of complications from Lupus, though it was never really discussed. Her spirit and example will be with me for a very long time. I hope to do a few things in honor of her wonderful kindness.

But for now, I just want to remember how lucky I was to call her "friend."

  2. So sorry about the loss of your dear friend. I lost my BFF 9 years ago, and I still miss her, every single day. She was the best friend I ever had. May you be blessed with peace during this Christmas season.

  3. So sorry for your loss, will be sending you hugs and prayers. She sounds like a wonderful person. I don't know how some people are so strong and can be so happy and positive all the time, even when dealt with so many challenges. I think I would sit and feel sorry for myself!
