10 minute tip

I always enter quilts in my local guild's show. They require a hanging sleeve and a label. I always try to remember to put labels on my quilts, but rarely put a sleeve on them. Only quilts that I know are for the wall get a sleeve.

The bed quilts or other quilts that I enter into the show don't really need permanent sleeves, so I just keep a few muslin sleeves and pin them on the backs of the quilts.

This allows me to reuse the same sleeves year after year. It's not fancy, but it does work, and no one ever sees them (except the workers who hang the show.)

Do you have any tricks for quilt sleeves?

Enjoy every stitch!

  1. What a great idea! I don't like the idea of permanent sleeves for most of my quilts.:)

    1. I have been using the same sleeves for years...and the same pins for that matter! :)
