Oh Happy Day!

I've released a new pattern! It can be found in my ETSY shop. It was originally published in the 2014 American Patchwork and Quilting Calendar. The permitted time has passed and I now have the rights to sell it again. I couldn't wait to share it, it's one of my very favorite quilts of all time!

It includes full color photos of the step by step process used to paper piece the selvages. They are not pieced in the traditional quarter inch style used for most quilts.

I came up with the name because I created something new and fun from things that would otherwise be thrown out. I am a gardener as well so I am always dragging things to the compost pile.

I teach workshops on this quilt and how to use the technique needed. I have so much fun seeing what each person's selvage collection includes. I've always been a bit nosey like that. Take a peek in the shop and see if there is anything else you would like. If you order a Compost Piles pattern in the month of January, I'll include a second pattern for free (while supplies last).

Enjoy every stitch!
Diane
