Looking for a delicious way to get more veggies in your diet, or in your kids? This smoothie is so yummy and nobody will know it has cabbage in it! I promise!
Purple Smoothie
1 banana
half of a large carton of vanilla yogurt
(we use Stoneyfield lowfat vanilla)
half of a head of red cabbage
small bag of frozen blueberries
quarter cup of local honey
1 cup POM (or cranberry juice)
Blend until smooth and serve immediately. YUM!
(this recipe is loosely based on the one from Pioneer Woman, she rocks!)
I just used what I had on hand.
Enjoy every sip!
Diane
This seems delicious, and what a beautiful color! Full of energy to start quilting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe!
I hope you enjoy it! We usually make smoothies with frozen fruit and add a big handful of spinach...and you can NOT taste the spinach either, I promise!
