10 Minute Tip

Today's tip is more of an idea. I have found that having a comfy chair near my sewing machine is a great way to get visitors. I have a chair in my quilting room that my husband or one of my kids will plop down in and start talking. I find that they are more willing to share info while they know they have a captive audience. Besides, it's always nice to have company! I also keep a towel handy to spread over the cushion because, more often than not, my visitor is four legged and furry.  My chair is n't nearly as cute as this one above, but maybe I could cover mine in patchwork. That will probably take more than 10 minutes though.

Enjoy every stitch!

  1. I have a comfy chair in my sewing room too and it does encourage visitors. My teen gets annoyed if it is not cleared off or if I dare sit and stitch in her chair!
