I know this block doesn't look exactly like the one in the book. I took a little creative license with it. Instead of making itsy bitsy flying geese that were sure to make me say bad words, I simply used little strips of red and white. Of course I did not cut them long enough, so I had to add a tiny border around the whole block to make it 6". And I'll admit, I may have said a bad word anyway when I discovered my error. So this block is not perfect and not exactly like the one in the book but it is DONE. So far, number 23 seems to be cooperating.
I totally understand why it was named Nearly Insane...
Enjoy every stitch!

ReplyDeleteNow, Now, it can't be that bad! :-) It looks just fine despite your challenges. I am impressed you are even doing that quilt. So keep up the good work and have a happy spirit! :-) K-
ReplyDeleteBeing "done" is the best! I think the block looks terrific--and it is your own design, too....hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteI recognize some of those fabrics used in your block. I made some Nearly Insane blocks quite some time ago but did not get far with them.
