Thimble Bees

(Mary Ruth's brown bag blocks)

My bee group met at my house on Friday. I am always so inspired by these fun and talented women. We sit and stitch on handwork, share our show and tells and talk until it's time to eat. Then we eat and talk some more and after we clean up...yep we keep talking!

I love these women, as I sit among them I realize that I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such strong, funny, brave and creative souls. They humor me, mentor me and inspire me more than they will ever know.

Patsy shared her "Grand Poo-Bah of Frogs" that she recently made. She makes amazing dolls and creatures in addition to her gorgeous quilts.

Kathy shared her latest creation for her daughter's upcoming wedding. The bride asked for an outfit for the dog, and I think Kathy nailed it!

Mary Ruth shared her latest small quilt. That woman has mad skills at combining fabrics and hand piecing and hand quilting. Among other things...

Darlene was busy working on her yoyo's and brought us each yummy treats for Easter. My kids really appreciated the bag she left for them!

I hand stitched a binding down for a community quilt. So we actually do get some quilting done while we talk and eat. I look forward to 'bee day' all month long!

Enjoy every stitch!
