I thought I would take a break from the disaster that is my basement (it is dry but waiting for new flooring) and share with you a super cool little tool that I picked up at quilt market. This little finger presser is not only great to use but very pretty to look at as well.
The person who sold it to me is also the person who made it. He was a super nice guy and I had a hard time choosing just one, because they were all so beautiful and unique. They sell plenty of other stuff too, but this is all I bought (suitcase space was limited.)
They also had these seamrippers and they were gorgeous as well. If you would like to take a look at their products that are available, you can find them at lumenaris I didn't see the wooden finger pressers listed, but I'm sure they would be happy to help you out if you left a message on their website. EDITED: they are listed below the seam rippers on the website, just scroll down until you see them!
Enjoy!
Diane
I'm sorry to hear about your flooded basement! Sounds like your water heater broke? Better than sewer backup as the two neighbors to the north of us experienced! We were next, but they caught the problem before it made it to our home thank goodness! I'm so glad you didn't loose much in your sewing room. Not that other things in the basement are not important, but you know what I mean! LOL. Glad you seem to be keeping your sanity! Thanks for showing those beautiful tools!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty finger presser! A quilting buddy of mine in Florida has a talented husband who makes them too and sells them through http://www.gigisfabricshop.com/ if folks can't get them through your guy. I love supporting artist in different mediums! He made one for me that presses on one end and has a point on the other end to help poke out corners - just love it and use it all the time.
ReplyDeleteThe wooden finger presses are at the bottom of the page with the seam rippers on their website.
