We love smoothies around here. Strawberry is probably our most frequently made version. Though we've been known to throw just about anything into the blender!
Strawberry Smoothie (serves 4)
one half of a 32oz. tub of organic low-fat french vanilla yogurt
one banana broken into 3-4 pieces
one cup of orange juice
one or two cups of frozen strawberries*
one tablespoon of flax seeds or chia seeds (you will not taste these but your body will thank you!)
one handful of spinach (again, you will not taste these but your body will thank you!)
* Substitute any frozen fruit or berries or combination of fruits. We like peach, mixed berry, or blueberry as well. The fruit is so sweet that no additional sugar or honey is needed.
Mix until smooth, serve and enjoy every sip!
