Unfinished Friday

Not long ago, I found this photo of an antique quilt in an old book. It just called to me. I have scraps from a two red and white quilts, gray scraps from a another quilt, and blue scraps from several quilts. So I decided to start this...

After cutting some strips and deciding what size block I wanted to make (that would fit on a page of the phone book I was using for foundations) I started sewing. I'm going to add a border of half blocks to my quilt, so I gave that a try too...

Now I only have a few hundred to go! But that probably won't happen next week, since the last of the flooring is being replaced in my sewing room and that means EVERYTHING has to be moved out, and then moved back in when it's finished. Try not to be jealous. :)

Enjoy your weekend!
