Book Review(s)

I ordered these two books from amazon last week so I could get free shipping. They were both on sale and I had them on my wish list for quite some time. Also, I had added a new payment method to my amazon account and I needed to verify that it worked. (It does!)

The 1718 Coverlet is a beautiful book with many photos and the patterns for each block. I have not had the time to read all of the historical information, but I hope to very soon. It is gorgeous and I'm so glad I was able to get such a good deal on it.

The other book is published by the editors of the Where Women Create Magazine. I'll be honest, I've never bought that magazine because I find it to be a bit pricey. But this book was not much more than the price of one issue and it had tons more quilters featured. I also have not had time to read this one word for word but I plan to keep it in my car because it's a good one to read bits of while waiting for kids or appointments. It is very beautiful and I already have studio envy from just flipping through it. I hope to use some of the storage and decorating ideas in my own home, if I ever schedule the time to do so!

Oh and just FYI, the 'buy with one click' option really does mean that you only have to click once. I have another book coming this week, no need to ask why...

Enjoy every page!

  2. I love the 1718 Coverlet and have been very tempted to buy the book. I hadn't heard of the other book but it looks great too.
