True Confessions...

I did a little shopping over the weekend. No, I did NOT shop on 'Black Friday', I just wasn't up for it this year and honestly didn't need or want anything that badly. But I did shop on Saturday to support 'Small Business Saturday' and selfless as I am...I went to the local quilt shop, of course! It really is amazing the sacrifices we quilters make for our local economies. *wink, wink*

I did buy two books that I have been eyeing for a while. I bought the Tales of the First Ladies book by Eleanor Burns. Honestly, I wanted it for the eagle pattern in the back. I need to get started on my eagle quilt! But I may have mentioned a few zillion times how much I love history and quilts and when those two topics come together in one book, I MUST have it!!!

I also bought the wonderful book Small Pieces, Spectacular Quilts by Mary Elizabeth Kinch and Biz Storms. I have their first book and had not known this book had so many great vintage quilts in it as well. So clearly, it had to come home with me.

I may have bought a few fat quarters as well because they were on sale and it was my duty to the economy and such. I even qualified for a bottle of Best Press for free!

So now I want to know if you scored any good quilting deals during the shopping madness last weekend? Do you have any good sources to let me know about? Please share!!

Enjoy!
Diane

PS. And just in case you are related to me, don't panic, I did all of my shopping online on Monday for each of you! It wasn't ALL about me. :)

  4. I didn't do any store shopping at all, aside from groceries. Unfortunately I made some online purchases though--thread at Superior, 3 classes at Crafsy, and some add-on parts for my Red Snappers system at Nancy's Notions. I guess it's all about me--I haven't purchased a single gift!

  5. Doggone it! You've found another book I guess I must have! I did not know Ms. Eleanor had a quilt history book WITH an eagle pattern!
