1718 to go...

(Block 31)

The 1718 Coverlet Sew Along certainly was well timed for my life. It turns out that these little blocks travel well. I sew the patchwork blocks when I am home, but the applique blocks can be prepped and packed up in a neat little box.

I put 5 or 6 block backgrounds with their applique pieces in the box, needles, threads, thimbles, pins, tweezers, marking pencil, scissors, and a seam ripper.

Because the freezer paper is already cut out and adhered to the fabric, all I have to do is trim away all but the seam allowance, pin them in place, and stitch. This is perfect for waiting for appointments, sitting at sporting events, and waiting in carpool pickup. A few stitches here and there add up quickly!

I should have more to share soon!
