My favorite is using the edge of my ruler to scrape the trimmings off my mat. I've been doing this as long as I can remember and it works like a charm.

If you iron the two pieces of fabric together before you cut and sew them, they stay attracted to each other even better. Great tips - need to get some chenille stems!!

Great tip about using chenille stems for cleaning the sewing machine! I'm going to try them the next time I need to clean my machine.
