1718 Coverlet update...

This is my favorite block this week. Every week there seems to be one that really captures my attention and this one was it. I pieced the background and hand appliqued the hearts while I was a track meet on Saturday morning.

My little travel kit at the stadium. It was bright and sunny and I was gratful for the sunshine because it was 36 degrees when we arrived. Luckily, it warmed up enough for me to take my gloves off and stitch.

I also stitched this little pheasant block. He had some difficulty with his feet (or I should say I did!) But he turned out well enough, and hopefully his partner will fare better. Those little feet are stitched down so well, I couldn't unsew them if I wanted to. LOL

At home, I was able to get this patchwork block done. I am having fun fussy cutting the large prints.

And I made these blocks as well. They are coming up in future months of the sew along but I wanted to get as many of the patchwork blocks done as I could. I'll be at the beach soon and only doing handwork, so working ahead on the patchwork blocks seemed like a good idea.

Who am I kidding? I haven't put a stitch in anything else since I started this sew along. I am completely addicted to this quilt and am loving every minute of it. If you would like to see what the others in the group are doing, you can visit facebook for the progress.

I'm looking forward to seeing which blocks are chosen for April.
Enjoy every stitch!
Diane
