Surprise, Surprise!

I got two sweet surprises recently. The photo above shows how many selvages can be stuffed into a flat rate mailer. Let me tell you...it's a LOT! A super awesome blog reader (Hi Lynda!) from Vancouver offered to send them to me because she wasn't going to use them. How awesome is that? I sure hope she enjoys the little thank you I sent her. I totally got the better end of that deal, but I want Lynda to know, how grateful I am for her kindness.

And then I came home to find this magazine on my laptop. My sweet hubby said he saw it at the grocery store and thought I might like it. The real surprise was that I didn't already have it. I am a bit of a magazine junkie. (Hey, there are worse vices!) It was very thoughtful of him, and I am enjoying it very much!

Enjoy every stitch!

  1. Oh, what a great gift. I still have a huge bag of them waiting for me to be inspired. I can't wait to see what you do with yours!

  2. Diane, I received your surprise thank you - I am working on using fabric that I have on hand, and it is a lot so hopefully I can put it to good use. My machine is in the shop for its annual checkup so I am going thru sewing withdrawal at the moment - but I have managed to cut out three quilts so that when I get my machine back all I need to do is to sit n sew! I am collecting more selvages, cutting larger pieces and cutting them wider. So glad that you can use them.
