1718 Coverlet continued...


I didn't do a whole lot of stitching on this quilt this week. But I did finish the geese blocks and get them sewn together with these other blocks. This is the very bottom row of the quilt. I still need to make the large applique blocks that go on either end. I think my geese will get button or embroidery eyes after the quilt has been quilted. I did simplify all of the backgrounds because I like my fabrics and didn't want to chop them up too much.


This is what my design wall looks like at the moment. The first five rows have been sewn together and are folded up on the table to the left in the photo. I really need to start on the star blocks that go on either side and in the middle toward the bottom. They have hearts and I'm still not sure which piecing method I want to use. While I procrastinate on those, I'll finish the small applique blocks. I have several prepped and ready to stitch when the opportunity presents itself.
