Bloggers Quilt Festival

AmysCreativeSide.com

It's that time of year again! I always look forward to the Blogger's Quilt Festival! Even if I don't participate, I always enjoy visiting the blogs of those who do. I have met some wonderful online friends through the quilt festival, and I hope that this year will be the same!

This year I'm entering two of my quilts. I have chosen Memory Lane, to go into the Large Quilt Category. I didn't measure it, but since I'm using it on my king size bed, I am betting it qualifies. LOL
I machine quilted this quilt on my Janome Horizon with a free motion foot. It was my first attempt at feathers, and I figured if I didn't get good at it doing a king size quilt, there really wasn't any hope for me! I loved every minute of stitching this quilt, and I love sleeping under it even more!

The other category I chose to enter is the Scrappy Quilts. I decided that if my Lime Twist quilt wasn't scrappy enough, nothing would be! I collected polka dot fabric at every quilt show I went to for years. I had no plan, other than I like dots. I have made this same quilt using black and whites, and I plan to make another in patriotic fabrics. I just love lots of strips, and strips with dots are even better!

I hope you enjoy the Blogger's Quilt Festival and visit all the quilts! Be sure to leave comments for those you like, or those that inspire you. Bloggers have feelings too, and they love to hear from visitors!

And if you feel so inclined to vote for one of my quilts, that would totally make my day! But no pressure...*wink*

Enjoy every quilt!
Diane

  5. Both of your quilts are wonderful! You did a great job with your feathers. What an undertaking. I also love your scrappy quilt. Putting the lime green boarders really makes it come together. I'll have to try that next time I make a scrappy quilt. Good luck.
